So last weekend, we didn't make it downtown to stalk James Hetfield. It's a good thing because he wasn't in town! It's THIS weekend that he's in town. So guess where we're eating dinner tonight???...
Our best friends, Bryan and Laura Payne, and their kiddos are coming in town today so I'm picking Ava up early from school and Wade is getting off early and we're all going to play! It's been a while since we've seen them. Bryan is a Metallica fan too so he's going to help us find Mr. Rock God. I think it's good to start teaching the kids at a young age how to be a proper rock fan! Ava already has it in her blood: we found out we were pregnant with her the day after a Motley Crue show (let me add that I got on Tommy and Nikki's booby cam) and we attended the Motley Crue/Aerosmith concert a week before she was born. SXSW is going on in Austin right now so maybe we'll get to see multiple rockers!
The weather is absolutely beautiful today! I love this town!!!

The James Hetfield Story
Alright, blonde is mixed back in with the red. I feel much better now!
So a few years ago, Wade and I went eat at Chuy's on Barton Springs. At the table next to us, James Hetfield is sitting with his entourage eating his dinner and drinking his iced tea (James Hetfield is the lead singer for Metallica). It was the coolest thing to be sitting 5 feet from a Rock God!!! We didn't bother him and nobody else did either. Well, actually when James stood up to leave, this one dude a few years older than us, did ask for his autograph. James was totally cool about it and was very kind. Damn, why am I such a chicken???
I hosted bunco last night. My friend, Paige, attended and when she walked in, she informed me that Metallica is going to be playing SXSW at Stubbs this weekend. Wade and I are thinking/hoping maybe James liked Chuy's so much last time that he'll eat there again when he gets into town. So guess where I'm eating dinner tonight...

The Hair
So I've been wanting to put more red back in my hair so I went last week and had it done. I love it except Jennie (the hair lady) didn't put ANY blonde in. I'm a natural blonde (believe it or not) so I look a little funny with just dark hair. Anyways, I called her today and she's going to put some blonde back in it at the end of the week. I think I'll be much happier with it then.
I always like to do weird things to my hair, especially before a concert. I guess Paige and I buying our Buckcherry/Papa Roach tickets inspired me to get it done.
And while we're on the topic of hair, can I just say that I am completely repulsed by loose hair that is not mine, my child's, or my husband's (he's lucky he made it to the acceptable list). I wonder if hair dressers ever find random ass pieces of hair in their mouth or bring home hair on their clothes. I wonder if finding hair in their food at restaurants grosses them out like it does me. It grosses me out enough to make me completely abandon that restaurant for years!!! Just ask Jason's Deli!
